Airaid is an American automotive aftermarket components manufacturer that specializes in the production of air intake systems. Established in 1997, the company produced AIRAID® intake kits in its initial years. Its products were a huge hit among customers and were widely well-received. Within five years of its establishment, in 2002, Airaid rolled out its line of premium filters. An air intake system regulates the amount of air passing into the engine. The more efficient the air intake system, the more is the amount of air that enters the engine. This will ultimately cause the engine to acquire more fuel to generate an optimal output. Airaid's air intake systems are designed with the basic idea that cool air contains more oxygen molecules than hot air and therefore provides for a better combustion. Airaid's intake systems include a Cold Air Dam (CAD) that sends external cool air to the filter. This gives the engine an extra horsepower than factory-fitted intake systems. The range of air intake system kits offered by Airaid includes U-Build-It (UBI) and Jr. Kits. The brand also produces modular intake tubes (MIT) that increase the air flow substantially.

An air filter basically removes dust, mud and other impurities from the air before it is passed to the engine. The air filter prevents the engine from a premature wear, as these small particles of debris can be detrimental to the engine's performance and life. Airaid's air filters are constructed with many layers of cotton gauze that trap debris and provide an efficient filtering capability.

A throttle body controls the flow of air into the engine in response to the accelerator pedal position. Airaid's PowerAid® throttle body spacers are designed to increase a vehicle's off-idle and mid-range performances, and increase torque gains and fuel economy at higher engine speeds. They are made out of Aircraft Grade Billet 6061-T6 aluminum. The PowerAid® throttle body spacers are constructed with a “Helix Bore” design that causes the air to spin as it flows through the throttle body. This results in an atomized air-fuel mixture that increases the efficiency of your engine. This spinning action also provides a streamlined, high-velocity flow of air. These throttle body spacers allow for an easy installation with no drilling and cutting procedures. Airaid's PowerAid® throttle body spacers’ kits comprise gaskets, hardware and precision brackets.
